Position: Environmental & Sustainability Advisor

Purpose:
Join our client's JV project team, where your role will be to provide vital environmental and sustainability advice, guidance, and support across all operations. Your expertise will help reduce environmental risks associated with construction activities and foster a culture of sustainability.
Key Accountabilities:
Risk Management: Take charge of minimizing environmental risks throughout the JV project.
Engagement: Provide hands-on support and visible environmental engagement across operations in both England and Scotland through regular on-site visits.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor and internal project teams to develop and implement a comprehensive environmental and sustainability strategy.
Performance Monitoring: Support the monitoring of contractor performance and compliance across all JV operations.
Cultural Development: Contribute to creating a positive environmental and sustainability culture within the project.
Advisory Role: Advise project leadership on performance against environmental targets, opportunities, and key performance indicators.
Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues from the wider JV SHES Team.
Incident Support: Provide expertise and assistance in managing environmental incidents.
Positive Culture Promotion: Champion a proactive, consistent approach to SHES culture through visible and influential behaviors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to communicate and build relationships at all organizational levels.
Engagement Ability: Capability to engage and inform both internal and external stakeholders in a positive and constructive manner.
Continuous Improvement: A strong drive for continuous improvement and experience in change management.
Positive Presence: A manner and style that leaves a lasting positive impression.
Environmental Passion: A genuine passion for embedding a positive environmental culture.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Regulatory Experience: Experience working with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
Driving License: A current driving license is required for travel across England and Scotland.
