Recycling Operative
Pay: £12.21
Location: Knowsley L33
Hours: 08:00-16:30
Days: Monday-Friday

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Recycling Operative to join a busy recycling and waste-management team. This is a hands-on, physical role involving sorting materials, maintaining site standards, and supporting the safe and efficient running of the warehouse and yard.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with lots of upskilling and progression available, including training on machinery and forklift trucks. A monthlyperformance bonus scheme is also available once permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting cardboard, plastics, polystyrene, and other recyclables
• Keeping the warehouse, yard, and surrounding areas clean and tidy
• Supporting general recycling and waste-management duties
• Assisting with loading/unloading as needed
• Working safely at all times and following all site procedures
• Future training provided to operate baler and compactor machinery

Requirements

• Previous experience in recycling, warehouse, or outdoor/manual roles is beneficial but not essential
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training
