With a brilliant track record of designing innovative, sustainable and energy efficient solutions, that minimise the use of natural resources, the team are looking for placements who are passionate about helping us make a positive impact to our environment and a difference to our homes, offices, industry and community.As a medium-sized but truly international consultancy, we are big enough to be able to provide a wide range of challenging projects for our staff, but still at a size where our students can be treated as individuals and given real responsibility at an early stage.This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Sustainability student to join our team in Bristol for a Summer Placement, starting in 2026, to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in the UK and around the world.Working under the guidance and supervision of the experienced team, youdevelop your existing knowledge and skills in energy modelling and assist with the development of energy and sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings. You will find yourself working on projects that fall within the following workstreams:Building physics and parametric model servicesBuilding performance and operational energy optimisationCertification and complianceHealth and wellbeing advice and guidanceNet zero and whole life carbon servicesSustainability design and ESG servicesWith the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop over time, yousupported and encouraged to work towards Chartership through one of our accredited training schemes.The SkillsIndividuals who are interested in the Summer Placement opportunities that we have available will need to be:On track to achieve a 2:1 or aboveWorking towards a degree in Sustainability or Building Services Engineering.Preferably undertaking your penultimate year of studyHave a passion for improving the built environmentBe interested in design and sustainable design principlesPlease only apply to one Early Careers role at Cundall at a time.
