MVV Environment Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MVV Umwelt GmbH and MVV Energie AG, who have more than 50 years of experience in operating high efficiency waste disposal and energy generation plants. Our Group is one of the market leaders in the generation of energy from waste. In the UK we currently operate Energy from Waste facilities in Plymouth and Dundee and a Biomass facility at Ridham Dock (Kent).
MVV is seeking a full-time professional to provide maternity cover for a period of 18 months. The position is home-based (preferably in Cambridgeshire), with travel to MVV UK sites as required.
Key Objectives:
Maintain MVV’s Integrated Management System in the absence of the Development and Compliance Manager, including document management and control.
Undertake internal audits to ensure compliance with IMS procedures.
Maintain MVV’s IMS and its’ associated procedures.
Provide advice and support to MVV’s UK staff to develop new IMS procedures and review existing procedures.
Provide advice and guidance to MVV’s UK employees on the operation and maintenance of MVV’s UK IMS.
Provide support to staff to ensure a consistent approach to the development and use of the IMS throughout MVV’s sites in the UK
Maintain the company’s legal registers and statutory obligations.
Undertake internal audits to ensure compliance with MVV’s legal, planning and permitting obligations.
Monitor MVV’s legal compliance software to identify any new legislative requirements and allocate actions to relevant staff as necessary to ensure legal compliance is maintained.
Monitor progress on corrective actions arising from reviews of the legal register and internal and external audits.
Monitor compliance with Planning Permission and associated conditions at MVV’s operational sites in the UK.
Monitor compliance with Environmental Permits at MVV’s operational sites.
Work with colleagues in the UK to arrange and manage internal audits of MVV’s UK IMS.
Provide support to UK colleagues as required to ensure continued ISO accreditation.
Liaise with UK and DE colleagues to gather information required to discharge corporate reporting obligations such as ESOS, SECR and CSRD.
Report on:
Achievement against business objectives and targets.
Compliance with legal requirements.
Ensure continuing compliance with ISO standards.

Requirements
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Experience of integrated management systems/quality management systems.
Understanding of ISO standards and requirements.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Computer literate and capable of learning how to use new software systems.
Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
Able to cope with numerous issues simultaneously and capable to prioritising tasks accordingly.
Willingness to travel.
