The Role
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of high‑profile projects across the UK, working within a supportive and collaborative team that values innovation, quality and professional development.
We are seeking an EIA Consultant with approximately 1–2 years of early‑career experience with emerging EIA experience, strong analytical skills and a proactive, solution‑focused mindset.
In this role, you will support the coordination of environmental inputs on large‑scale infrastructure and major development projects, including:
- Renewable power generation schemes — such as solar, hydrogen, BESS and wind
- Large-scale masterplan developments
- Property development — including commercial, residential, industrial and healthcare projects
- Projects requiring Strategic Environmental Assessment
You will work with a range of internal technical environmental specialists and designers to manage environmental inputs to project designs and assessments. This will include early strategy development, through to feasibility, outline design, detailed design and discharging of conditions. You will have the opportunity to work within various consenting regimes, including Development Consent Orders and Town and Country Planning.
You will liaise confidently with clients and sub‑consultants, support fee proposals and contribute to high‑quality environmental reporting and EIA deliverables, ensuring accuracy, clarity and strong technical reasoning throughout.
It is the philosophy of Logika that environmental consultants ensure environmental considerations are embedded at the heart of development design. Therefore, it is important that you are confident engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups and can work effectively with technical specialists and design teams to develop robust, defensible and well‑integrated environmental solutions.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Planning or similar
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of EIA processes and relevant UK legislation
- Good basic understanding of a range of technical environmental disciplines
- Approximately 1–2 years' experience assisting on EIA or environmental management
- Experience of assisting in the production of environmental reports and EIA documentation
- (screening, scoping, PEIR, ES)
- Excellent verbal and report‑writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, with an organised and methodical approach to task management
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of an established team, coordinating specialist inputs to
- deadlines
- Confidence engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups
- A strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate issues, think ahead and support problem‑solving
- A strong personal drive to deliver high‑quality, accurate and well‑reasoned outputs
