Waste Management Supervisor Salary : £33,699 up to £38,220 per annum pro rata Grade : 6 Location : Hinckley, Leicestershire Contract : Permanent, 37 hours per week, full time, working Monday to Friday About the role Our Waste Management team within Streetscene Services requires a Waste Management Supervisor to support the delivery of efficient, high-quality frontline waste services across the borough. This is operational supervisory role supports efficient service delivery while maintaining safety and performance standards. What you will be doing Assist the Waste Management Team Leader in delivering waste collection services Supervise and monitor collection crews Ensure health and safety standards are followed Carry out inspections and compliance checks Maintain operational records (e.g. vehicle checks, driver hours, service documentation) Deputise for the Waste Management Team Leader as required Undertake frontline duties including driving and waste collections where needed to cover staff shortages About you You will be a strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of working in a frontline operational environment. You will be able to supervise staff, ensure health and safety standards are maintained and support the delivery of an efficient and effective service. Essential criteria Class C driving licence minimum Experience working in a frontline operational or customer orientated environment Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices Ability to supervise staff and communicate effectively Ability to use computerised or handheld devices Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role Closing date: 31 May 2026 Interview date: 12 June 2026 Why Join Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council A great place to work, grow and make a real difference.
